Introduction
We all deserve a safer, better world. Achieving that world is possible, but it requires us to rethink how we organize ourselves globally. This won't happen by accident - we have to make it happen. Our global threats are intensifying because our global systems are weak.
National governments cannot tackle these alone.
Why We Must Redesign the United Nations
The current United Nations, created in 1945 after World War II, was designed for a different world with different challenges. Despite many accomplishments, it simply wasn't built to handle today's existential threats.
The UN helps negotiate peace, responds to disasters and refugee crises, improves conditions in poor regions, supports peacekeeping operations around the world, and protects human rights through monitoring and advocacy. The dedicated people who work at the UN deserve our respect.
But here's the reality: The UN has never been empowered to truly manage world affairs. It frequently issues statements but lacks the authority to ensure nations follow through. Important climate agreements remain voluntary, dangerous technologies go unregulated, and conflicts continue despite UN resolutions.
Simply giving the UN more money or tweaking a few programs won't be enough. We need fundamental redesign because:
Nations are trapped in dangerous competition. Countries recognize many global threats but remain locked in competition that prevents meaningful action. A stronger UN would provide the rules and enforcement mechanisms that allow all nations to act together without disadvantaging themselves.
Billions of lives are at stake. The scale of our threats is unprecedented in human history, potentially affecting billions of people across every country.
Previous reform efforts have fallen short. Past attempts to modernize the UN have made incremental changes but failed to address core structural problems. These efforts typically stalled because they lacked sufficient public pressure or focused only on technical adjustments rather than fundamental redesign.
Nations benefit from sharing some control to gain greater security. While countries naturally protect their sovereignty—their independent authority to govern themselves—they increasingly recognize that effectively addressing global challenges requires giving up some control to get something more valuable in return. Much like citizens accept government authority to maintain order and provide services, nations can become safer and more prosperous by accepting some global rules on climate change, pandemics, AI regulation, and other challenges that no country can manage alone.
If we fail to improve the United Nations, civilization may not make it through the time of crisis humanity is entering.

Je veux que la joie de sauver la race humaine soit un effort d'équipe.
Si notre relation est simplement moi qui crée la série et que vous la consommez, c'est bien. Mais je préférerais que vous et moi travaillions ensemble pour rendre notre monde meilleur. Et mon rêve est qu'au fil du temps, une tribu mondiale de personnes se réunisse autour de ce travail.

Faire connaitre
Parlez de l'émission à d'autres personnes: amis, famille, collègues, voisins, personnes sur vos réseaux sociaux, étrangers - qui que ce soit. Les gens me demandent parfois: «Quel est le public cible de votre émission?» - et je réponds: «Tout le monde».
Pour créer un mouvement citoyen mondial visant à promouvoir des améliorations mondiales, nous avons besoin d'autant de personnes engagées que possible. C'est pourquoi j'essaye de rendre le spectacle accessible aux personnes de tous types et de tous horizons.
